About Us

“Valuing the lives of disabled people and enhancing their full participation in society.”

In October of 2006, after much planning, hard work and fund-raising by the Lion Foundation, Rotary Clubs of North Shore, ASB Community Trust, Disability Resource Centre, Guardian Trust, North Shore City Council, The Neil Group and Bill and Ann Grieve , the YES Disability Resource Centre proudly opened its doors. Situated at 3 William Laurie Place in Albany, YES boasts eight staff members and occupies the bottom floor of a modern three story office building. A portion of this floor area is utilised as a shop and it is from here that YES Disability Products and Equipment operates.

As a not-for-profit charitable organisation, YES endeavours to provide quality products and equipment to the community at reasonable prices. Any profit made through the sale of YES products is re-invested back into the disability sector in order to help fund community-based services to people with disabilities, their family or whanau and support people.

The Yes Team put people with disabilities, their family/whanau, support people and health professionals in touch with accurate and up to date information. We welcome visitors to our centre where you can browse and try out our accessible kitchen and innovative products at your leisure.

We aim to give people information which enables them to make informed choices about their lives.
